The Mudita Foundation was founded on the Buddhist principle of Mudita — the pure joy that arises from seeing others thrive. In our first year, we proudly supported three underprivileged villages in Sri Lanka, delivering humanitarian aid that reached over 450 families with emergency food and shelter supplies following seasonal flooding. We also provided educational aid to more than 180 children through school supplies, scholarships, and after-school programs, while facilitating medical aid including free health camps and essential medicines that served nearly 300 villagers.

Looking ahead, The Mudita Foundation is expanding its impact with renewed commitment to humanitarian aid, educational opportunities, medical support, and innovative sustainable energy solutions. Our future initiatives include installing solar-powered lighting and clean water systems, building vocational training centers, and partnering with local communities to create long-term resilience and self-sufficiency — all guided by compassion, sympathetic joy, and a deep respect for Sri Lanka’s heritage.
